About

Founded in 2003 by Marc Williams, a lettered athlete in Track & Field, Basketball, and Football along with Vicente “Vinnie” Ithier a former University of Connecticut Basketball player, and Chris Denfeld; the Connecticut Spirit Club has become one of the premier girls AAU leagues in the Northeast. Who are we looking for? We continuously seek out female student-athletes who are ready to dedicate their time energy and talent to being exceptional—ALL OF THE TIME. Our teams presently serve young girls ages 10-16 years.  Our philosophy is most easily summed up in our mission statement.

  • We believe in whole child development - even more important than skill development, we value and grow character, integrity, sportsmanship and teamwork.
  • We believe in providing the highest quality of coaches - passionate people who love kids, know and understand the game and are committed to bringing out the best in every player on and off the court.
  • We believe in the fundamentals of the game - and are committed to teaching and developing the skills that become the foundation from which all great players are launched.
  • We believe in providing experiences through competitive game schedules - that strengthen relationships, broaden perspectives and emphasize the value of coming together to achieve a common goal.
  • We believe in dreams and in young athletes that has the desire to compete at all levels including the collegiate level - through game and life skill development, as well as, having a strong network of relationships with college coaches, which is always expanding, we open many doors for our players and help to facilitate opportunities that aids our players in achieving their short and long term goals.
